Mastery of the modern battlefield requires a hybrid approach of technology and magic, and no combat specialist epitomizes this approach better than the Mech Pilot.

Mech Pilot Spells

At 3rd level, you always have the following spells prepared. These spells count as artificer spells for you but don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare:

Artificer Level Spells
3rd Magic Missile, Shield
5th Gust of Wind, Shatter
9th Lightning Bolt, Thunder Step
13th Fire Shield, Storm Sphere
17th Steel Wind Strike, Teleportation Circle

Battle Mech

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to create a battle mech, a suit of enchanted medium armor. It can be infused with one of your artificer infusions. While wearing it, you gain the following benefits:

The armor is powered by your magic. Any other creature that wears it cannot benefit from its effects, and their movement speed becomes 0.

Tactical Assault Array

At 3rd level, you can adjust your battle mech to different modes. Choose one of the following:

Mode-Specific Features

Mode Armor Class Features
Hellion 12 + Dex Ignore disadvantage on ranged weapon attacks, Bombardment stance
Valkyrie 14 + Dex (max 2) Dash or Disengage as a bonus action, Jump spell effects
Titan 16 Ignore two-handed property on melee weapons, increased hit points

More features are unlocked at higher levels, such as Extra Attack, Overdrive, and Air Supremacy at 15th level.

Overdrive (9th Level)

As an action, you can activate Overdrive based on your mech's mode:

Once you’ve used this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

Air Supremacy (15th Level)

At 15th level, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed while in your battle mech. Additional benefits are granted based on your mode.
